I’ve been travelling around a lot lately, making the most of The South. On Sunday we took the train to Cambridge for Sunday lunch with friends from university. I wrapped up warm in a vintage cashmere jumper (from the Rusty Zip in Edinburgh), tartan lambswool scarf, Accessorize necklace (I know, but I do really love their jewellery sometimes) and my trusty vintage Aquascutum coat.
It was still snowy, and we had to tramp across Jesus Green in our boots to get there, so we arrived pretty wet and cold. Lucky, there was a LOT of delicious food and drink waiting for us (and 90s pop Spotify playlists… which made for a unique atmosphere).
Will and Lizzie were hosting, and Will is the best cook and provider of wine in the world, so it was pretty much a perfect day. (Will blogs about food and drink here – you should read it!)
And my Cambridge satchel got an outing in its hometown! I’ve been waiting to show it the sights ever since Christmas. I love this satchel so much, and the leather on the straps has loosened up a lot now so it’s much easier to open and close. My favourite bag by far.
Ice on the Cam. And then home for some hot tea.
